Group NewsToday marks a big day in Vancouver history, as the 21st Winter Olympic Games begin in Vancouver and Whistler. The games will take place between today and the end of the month.
In case you don't already know, Groups on deviantART is finally out of beta and has been released as a final product. It's been a long and intense beta program, but dA's staff is confident enough to release it to the masses. Along with the launch of Groups, deviantART has silently introduced some features to make the Groups system easier for members to manage, especially with their inbox. For full details, please

Content AnnoucementYes, it's time for another contest already! This contest will be simply titled
Olympics Contest 2. The rules will be a little more strict this time around, but there is so much going on around the city that creating your artwork shouldn't be too much trouble.
Rules:

All artistic mediums will be accepted.

Your artwork
must be created between February 12th and 28th, 2010.

Your artwork
must be related to the 2010 Olympics in some way. Examples: during a sports event, during the opening/closing/nightly medal ceremonies, during one of the LiveCity events, at a pavilion, etc. Your options are endless, considering they display the Winter Games in some form.

Only
one entry per member. Entries are allowed to be changed as long as the previous entry is removed first.
AffiliatesFinally, I want to take a moment to show support for our affiliates. I strongly encourage you to check out these groups if you haven't already.
In my own humble opinion, #
dALinkSystem is one of the most clever ideas to ever come to deviantART. In a nutshell, what you do is provide a link to a related deviation by another artist in the Artist Comments of your deviations. Let that artist know, and they may link back. This may result in more exposure of the other artists work, as well as your own. Everybody wins!
