First off, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Patrick, also known as =mk87 and I am the new administrator of the Vancouver Club. One of the friendly moderators you should all be familiar with, Scott (`Obsidian-Fox), got into contact with me and we worked out a deal - now here I am to bring this place back to life! The Vancouver Club is back and it's going to be better than ever! Who knows whatever happened to make this club inactive for almost a year, but that's in the past now and I just want to look forward. I have so much planned, and I can see already that it's going to be quite the process in the weeks to come.

Here's a basic outline of what I plan to bring to the community:

I will personally buy a year subscription as soon as I can.
New journal CSS to reflect the new beginning (which requires the sub)
Regular club updates (Contests, submissions, devmeets, etc.)
A new avatar (maybe through a contest? )
Submissions will be collected in the same way many other clubs do it already. It saves others from faving club submissions and helps you, the artists, to get the recognition you deserve.

The next change is something that I hope doesn't come across the wrong way. Since the club has been inactive for nearly a year, I understand some of the members are now inactive on deviantART. To keep everything fresh and up to date, I am removing all of the old inactive members. Before getting upset, allow me to explain how to stay in the club. Starting immediately, I want all old members wishing to remain in the club to send a note to renew their membership. Whoever doesn't reply by August 1st will be removed from the members list. If you end up being removed and still want to be a part of the club, don't panic. Just send a new note to join and you will be welcome to rejoin at any time. New members are also being accepted at this time. All of the current submissions in the gallery will not be removed.

If you are renewing your membership, send a note with the subject MEMBERSHIP.
If you are not a member and wish to join, send a note with the subject JOIN. Everyone is welcome to join!
As confirmation of your membership, you will be added to the club's devwatch.

For the time being while everything is all sorted out, there will be no submissions accepted. Considering everything works out as planned, submissions will begin in early August. I will write a new journal at that time with the announcement, as well as outlining the submission guidelines.
