Scott here again.. (^Obsidian-Fox) Seems there are people who can or cant make it either day, so it was tough, but we have decided to go with August 23rd (as alot of people will be in town for numerous conventions) and the most POSITIVE choice was this date.

So far, the event info is as follows

August 23rd, 2008
Stanley Park (exact loc. to be announced)
bring towel and swimsuit
Cost: FREE (snacks and drinks not supplied, however)

Possible concert at an all ages venue
More info as it becomes available
Cost: ~$10

Friend of mine has one following festival ticket available:

1 Pemberton Festival ticket for sale - $275 (earlybird pricing with taxes included there) I'm still going but I have to work there now and would really like YOU to go too heh...When you think about it...seeing 50 groups/artists is totally worth it when we often spend upwards of $75 to see ONE band.  Whadya say?

Scott here again.. (^Obsidian-Fox) There are two dates which everyone seems happiest with. The only problem, but i think its actually a good thing, is that the later date is also an anime convention and comic thing that weekend too..

So the dates are August 9th, or August 23rd..

Im going to start planning at the beginning of next week, so voice your concerns here, and I will do my best to accommodate them!

So first things first, My name is Scott, (^Obsidian-Fox) and I am the street photography Gallery Director. I've asked Pat if I could revive the club for announcements and stuff, since this is the best Vancouver deviantART club.

My plan is to put together an official deviantART devmeet, big, fun, and memorable.

I need you all to weigh in on the event, which im hoping to throw in August. If anyone wants to help, has ideas to offer, or anything else you may think is relevant, let me know.. Im just in the planning stages now, and every bit of help/info helps!

Some big names have said they will come for the festivities, and more should be added as time goes on, but so far $spyed and $Moonbeam13 should make the trek to our great city.. And you know they arent going to leave prizes and whatnot at HQ...

Im hoping to get sponsors, live bands, and trying to find a viable way to have 100+ deviants waterski behind the seabus... Well, maybe not that last one, but ill try and find a slip'n'slide or something.

So RSVP on the poll, so we can get a good idea of numbers attending.. Oh, and tell your friends who may not be watching *vancouver to do so.. The quicker the #'s add up, the better this thing will be!
